Services offered:

1. Help with your English. As much as it might feel unfair, all high quality research demands skills in English. This includes speaking and writing. While AI can help you get pretty far, this is only a patch on a larger problem. The speed of your success will be enabled by your ability to read, write, and communicate in English. This means at PKonsulting we will offer you copy-editing support, writing skills development, and (in the rare case) mentoring your writing style and approach. For instance, many academics mistakenly believe that we should write in obtuse, jargon-filled ways. The reasons for this are beyond the point here, but writing this way, will decrease the ease of writing and publishing your research, but, most importantly, it will undermine how well the content is received, cited, and popularized. Our writing motto is simple, do not write in show-off, write in English.

2. Presentations in English. Sometimes, what we really need, is feedback on your presentations for important events, clients, and talks. Professional, dynamic presentations are essential but creating them often are not academics strength. Here services focus on teaching you how to better present your research. Having taught publish speaking for 10 years in the USA, Professor Jonason is well-suited to ensure your impress the audience. In addition, we offer the additional service of serving as MC or invited speaker to your events. Most recently, Professor Jonason gave a presentation on the problems of modern dating to a meeting in Warsaw called Single Minded. before that, he was a panel speaker at a meeting regarding Polish scientific publishing for Sciendo/DeGruyter (below). Other presentation and appearances include (1) TV/radio appearances, (2) academic talks, and (3) governmental consulting and presentations.

3. Career mentoring. One sad reality I have seen over the last decade is a deterioration of the quality of support young researchers get. If you are one of them, I offer my support in the form of guidance in various proceses like habilitation, where to submit articles, how to deal with the review process, and more. In addition, given this limited support, an additional incentive to work with us is that you could--if you need--be connected with my vast network of collaborators. This would supercharge your research by broadening the data, improving potential hypotheses, and even lowering the workload via the creation of a team. 4. Research services. Our brains are not designed to do research. Our brains to do not easily think logically or quantitatively. Instead, our brains are biased, prefering anecdotes to nomological patterns. There are several research services that you may benefit from like dealing with bad data, how to collect data, designing instruments, and statistical consultation. At PKonsulting we live by the mottos (1) if you cannot use basic statistics to test your hypothesis you may be overcomplicating things and (2) always report a robust examination of the data, not just some narrow hypothesis.

5. Public image consultation. Look around you. Most people dress terribly. Gone are the days where people dress up for even the simplest social and professional functions. We have lurched into a kind of perpetual and ever increaseing casualness. However, people judge competence based on your clothes. It is rarely enough to simply go buy a nice suit or dress. Instead, the choices you make, the tailoring, and even the way you carry yourself in social and professional functions speaks volumes about who you are. Remember that if you do not control how you are perceived, you leave it up to others to make up their own mind.
